Contestant data: Full name, date of birth, nationality, ID number, guardian information, residential address, social media accounts, photos, and performance details.
Transaction data: Ticket purchases, payment information (processed by Hubtel).
Communication data: Comments, messages, and support inquiries.

Usage data: Pages visited, features used, voting activity.
Device data: IP address, browser type, operating system.
Cookies: Session management and analytics.

2. How We Use Your Information

To operate and improve the Platform.
To process contestant registrations and manage the competition.
To process ticket purchases and deliver e-tickets.
To prevent fraud and ensure voting integrity.
To communicate with you about the competition and your account.
To comply with legal obligations.

We may send promotional or marketing communications only where the required consent has been obtained or where otherwise permitted by applicable law, and you may opt out at any time.

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with:

Service providers: Payment processors (Hubtel), cloud hosting (Cloudflare, Vercel), email services.
Competition partners: Judges, broadcast partners (limited to what is necessary).
Legal authorities: When required by law or to protect our rights.

4. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data, including secure credential management, encryption where appropriate, access controls, audit logging, and backup and recovery processes.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Contestant data is retained for the duration of the competition and up to 2 years afterward for archival purposes. We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, or as required by law, accounting obligations, fraud-prevention needs, dispute handling, or enforcement of our rights. You may request deletion, but we may retain certain data where required or permitted by law.

6. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:

(a) access your personal data;
(b) request correction or updating of inaccurate or incomplete data;
(c) object to certain processing of your personal data;
(d) require us to cease processing personal data that causes or is likely to cause unwarranted damage or distress, where applicable;
(e) require us not to use your personal data for direct marketing;
(f) request blocking, erasure, destruction, or deletion of personal data, subject to legal and operational retention requirements; and
(g) lodge a complaint with the Ghana Data Protection Commission or another competent authority.

7. Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly permit children under 13 to create accounts or submit personal data through restricted areas of the Platform. Contestant registration is limited to persons aged 16 and above. Contestants aged 16-17 require verified parental or guardian consent. See our Minor Protection Terms for details.

8. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries outside Ghana (for cloud hosting and CDN services). We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place. See our Cross-border Data Statement.
