User Service Agreement

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Lights of Africa platform ("Platform") operated by Equatorial Light Entertainment Ltd ("we", "us", or "Company"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must not access or use the Platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Platform. If you are under 18, you must have verifiable parental or guardian consent. Contestants must meet all eligibility criteria outlined in the competition rules.

3. User Accounts

  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
  • You may not create multiple accounts or share your account with others.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Platform Services

The Platform provides talent competition services including contestant registration, live streaming, voting, ticketing, and community features. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Platform at any time.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose.
  • Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users.
  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent content.
  • Attempt to manipulate voting or competition results.
  • Interfere with the Platform's technical infrastructure.
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) without authorization.

6. Content Ownership

Content you submit remains yours, but you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute it in connection with the Platform and the competition.

7. Intellectual Property

All Platform content, branding, and technology are owned by Equatorial Light Entertainment Ltd. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written consent.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Accra, Ghana, unless otherwise agreed upon in the Dispute Resolution section.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be notified via email or Platform notification.
