Reward Statement

1. Prize Structure
Lights of Africa awards prizes to contestants who achieve finalist and winner status in each season. Specific prize details (type, value, and distribution) are announced at the start of each season and may include:
- Cash prizes.
- Recording contracts or music production support.
- Media appearances and brand endorsement opportunities.
- Equipment and gear.
- Tour participation opportunities.
2. Eligibility
To be eligible for prizes, contestants must:
- Have completed a valid registration with accurate information.
- Have signed the consent and agreement form.
- Be in good standing (not disqualified for rule violations).
- Comply with all competition rules throughout the season.
3. Distribution Process
- Winners are announced at the season finale event.
- Prize distribution is managed through the admin panel with status tracking (Pending → Processing → Distributed).
- Cash prizes are disbursed via bank transfer or mobile money within 30 business days of the finale.
- Non-cash prizes are coordinated directly with the winner.
- For minors, prizes are distributed to the registered guardian.
4. Tax Obligations
Winners are solely responsible for any tax obligations arising from prize awards. The Company may be required to report prize values to tax authorities as required by Ghanaian law.
5. Prize Substitution
The Company reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value if the original prize becomes unavailable. Winners will be notified of any substitution.
6. Disqualification
If a winner is found to have violated competition rules or these terms, their prize may be revoked and awarded to the next eligible contestant. See our Anti-Cheating Statement for details.
7. Dispute Resolution
Disputes regarding prizes are handled through our Dispute Resolution process.
