Anti-Cheating Statement

1. Zero Tolerance Policy
Lights of Africa maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards cheating, fraud, and any form of manipulation that undermines the integrity of the competition.
2. Prohibited Activities
The following activities are strictly prohibited:
- Vote manipulation: Using bots, scripts, multiple accounts, or paid services to inflate votes.
- Identity fraud: Registering under false names, using fake IDs, or misrepresenting age or nationality.
- Performance fraud: Lip-syncing to pre-recorded material, using uncredited backing performers, or plagiarizing performances.
- Bribery: Attempting to influence judges, hosts, or staff through gifts or financial incentives.
- Account sharing: Sharing login credentials to circumvent voting limits.
- Technical exploitation: Exploiting Platform vulnerabilities, API abuse, or reverse-engineering security measures.
3. Detection Methods
We employ multiple detection systems including:
- Automated anomaly detection for voting patterns.
- IP and device fingerprint analysis.
- Manual review of flagged activities by our moderation team.
- Community reporting mechanisms.
4. Consequences
Violations may result in one or more of the following:
- Warning: First-time minor infractions may receive a written warning.
- Account suspension: Temporary or permanent account muting or ban.
- Vote removal: All fraudulent votes removed from the tally.
- Disqualification: Contestant removed from the competition.
- Legal action: Serious offenses may be referred to law enforcement.
5. Appeals
Users who believe they have been wrongly penalized may appeal by contacting xdfz@equatorlightmedia.com within 7 days of the action. Appeals are reviewed by a senior administrator not involved in the original decision.
6. Reporting
If you witness or suspect cheating, please report it to xdfz@equatorlightmedia.com with the subject "Cheating Report". Reports can be made anonymously.
